We are looking for an experienced journalist with familiarity with brand marketing and business movement to publish contents, news and articles posting on our website and social media. You must feel comfortable interviewing executives and/or brand delegates.

The ideal candidate doesn’t wait for stories to be assigned to them. Instead, they proactively pitch stories, and are always looking for reliable sources and interesting angles on hot news topics. They must also be native to the brand marketing and business landscape.

They will also be comfortable collaborating with the video production team to create a video script of the aforementioned domain and are a natural self-starter and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and a team player who values our DNA.

What you’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of news content and content creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the highest standards of content are maintained.
  • Develop and implement editorial strategies that align with our organization's mission, values, and audience preferences.
  • Plan, assign, and review news coverage, features, and special projects to ensure timely and accurate delivery of content.
  • Foster a culture of journalistic integrity, ethics, and excellence within the team, upholding the highest standards of accuracy, fairness, and objectivity.
  • Stay informed about current events, industry trends, and emerging issues to identify relevant topics and angles for news coverage.
  • Cultivate relationships with sources, experts, and industry insiders to secure exclusive interviews, insights, and information for news stories.
  • Edit, fact-check, and proofread articles to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, social media, and design, to optimize content distribution and audience engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze audience feedback, metrics, and trends to inform editorial decision-making and content strategies

What you’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field.
  • Proven experience 5 years in journalism, with a strong track record of writing, editing, and producing news content.
  • Deep understanding of journalistic principles, practices, and ethics, with a commitment to upholding integrity and objectivity.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of published articles or news stories.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing journalists.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of digital media trends, platforms, and tools, with a focus on optimizing content for online audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for uncovering compelling stories and engaging audiences.
