We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to manage a diverse development team. You should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem-solver. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will bring your expertise and skills to tackle the challenges that impact millions of people on our journey to become the No.1 food platform in Thailand.
What you’ll Do:
- Oversee the engineering team from hiring, onboarding, and up-skilling new and current tech team members to managing projects and preparing the budget of the team
- Establishes and implements the strategic direction of the company's engineering and development initiatives
- Drive the vision and long-term roadmap of product with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack and architecture, provide input on feasibility and cost impact
- Work with various teams e.g. engineering, product, data, operations, marketing, security, and management to ensure that LINE MAN Wongnai applications thrive and succeed
- Coordinate with external stakeholders (e.g. vendors, outsourcing companies) for new product development, integrations, and tools
- Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the organization; coordinates and implements contractors work, and resolves any disputes over labor, scheduling, or payments
- Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent
What you’ll Need:
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience building and leading large multinational software engineering teams
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience and being able to lead and motivate the project teams, give direction, receive feedback, and work within a larger cross-functional collaborative team and excellence in building high-performance teams
- Experience in managing complex tech projects and know how to build products and features from scratch
- Deep expertise in modern software development, as well as with managing engineering teams through periods of growth
- Experience utilizing and implementing development methodologies (i.e. Agile)
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills as well as the ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information effectively in Thai and English
